2008 Blue-White Scholarship Breakfast   As a result of the tremendous success of last year's event, we are hosting our second annual Blue-White Scholarship Breakfast the morning of the Blue-White game.  It will be held at the Nittany Lion Inn on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at from 9am to 11am.  This is a fund-raising event to raise scholarship money for students in the group.    Last year, our speakers were exciting and inspiring.  They were DJ Dozier and Tyoka Jackson.  For our 2008 event, Andre Collins will be our speaker.   For the past eight years, we have taken a busload of young men (ages 11 to 18) to Penn State for the Blue-White game.

We will also host a silent auction during the breakfast featuring autographed items from former Penn Staters.  We will also have some additional items available via an online auction.  Last year, we had autographed items from such individuals as Kyle Brady, Curtis Enis, Kenny Jackson, Charlie Pittman, Jimmy Kennedy and Ki-Jana Carter.  There were also items signed by Franco Harris, Lydell Mitchell, John Cappelletti, and Jack Ham.  We even have a Joe Paterno-signed football!  (To see some of the silent auction items from last year's event, click here.)   We would be thrilled to have you attend and meet some of the young people.  However, if you are unable to attend, it is possible for you to sponsor one of the young men for the breakfast.   To purchase a ticket, or to sponsor one of the young men, please send a check, payable to "Community Refuge Education Center" to:
